At Sonia’s Performing Arts, we provide a variety of dance and movement-based programs designed for individuals, couples, and children of all experience levels. Whether you’re preparing for a special event or simply exploring the joy of dance, our offerings cater to every need.

About me: Sonia
I knew from my very first dance lesson years ago that I would become an instructor. I was so enraptured by the sensations I was experiencing, the expression of emotion through motion, the uninterrupted connection of soul to body forged through dance, that I knew I had to spread this joy through the world!
Although I have received instruction from world champions, I truthfully have learned mostly on my own, by keenly observing the many brilliant dancers around Houston, TX. Since then, I have shared my knowledge of dance fundamentals & style with well over a hundred students. Although I have taught elements of advanced style to champion-level competitors, my specialty is teaching complete beginners.
I have also placed highly in several dance competitions. At the 2002 South Central Regional DanceSport Championship I won five first place ribbons in International Latin, and at the 2003 Texas Challenge I won second place in the Pre-Championship International Latin category.
About me
Elena is our dedicated Director. She just returned to Houston from NYC where she trained at the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts. Elena has been training in acting and singing for over 10 years. She has performed both on stage and in film and is excited to share her knowledge to help students find their own voice and confidence.

About me
Arnavh is a dynamic and accomplished dancer currently studying at the University of Houston. His experience includes serving as the captain of his high school dance company, choreographing for UIL, collegiate-level dance teams, and theatrical productions. Trained in jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, and contemporary, Arnavh brings versatility and adaptability to every space he enters, with the ability to work across a wide range of styles. He is deeply passionate about teaching and is committed to bringing out the best in each of his students, fostering confidence, artistry, and strong technique through intentional, motivating instruction.
